Gather at Nanluoguxiang Metro (Exit C). Your guide greets you with iced plum juice and sun hats, then leads you into a 700-year-old alley, introducing Beijing’s morning calm.
Stroll narrow lanes while your guide shares the origin of hutongs and the fengshui principles of siheyuan layouts. Stop at a century-old stall to taste freshly made candied hawthorn.
Step into a local auntie’s siheyuan for a hands-on zhajiangmian lesson and dumpling wrapping. Feast on homemade noodles, sautéed vegetables, and seasonal side dishes while hearing family anecdotes.
Relax in the courtyard tea house over gongfu-style tea (Tieguanyin, jasmine). Then choose one craft:
Visit hidden artisan studios—paper cutting, kite making, or ceramic repair. Discover secret photo corners: lantern-lit corridors, stone pavement patterns, and courtyard shadows.
Your guide drops you at a nearby subway or hutong exit, hands you a “Hutong Explorer’s Map” booklet with bonus snack & photo-spot recommendations.
The tour begins at Nanluoguxiang Metro Station (Exit C) and ends nearby at a designated hutong exit or subway station. Exact details are provided after booking.
